ALWAYS a tropical holiday at Surf Ohio… but we need your photos to prove it!

This is it, dreaded as it has been – the first day so far this winter that it’s noon, sunny and… barely 32 degrees out! No wonder Surf Ohio longsleeve t-shirts are about of stock, but from the orders, emails and calls I am receiving, I can see that a lot of shortsleeve Surf Ohio tees and hats are going to be enjoying some beach time this winter. In fact my family and I are counting the days until our long awaited and much deserved island vacation after New Years, including taking surfing lessons together (no, the school said they did not care how old I am – plus they guarantee I will learn!). You KNOW we will be suitably attired for the family photos, and I even put a waterproof Canon D10 on my Hannukah list, just for the occasion.

This reminds me to invite you to submit your best jpegs showing you and yours wearing Surf Ohio, especially if sporting the colors in some unique, exotic or especially memorable locale. I’ve received several good ones over the last year (Mahalo, Rick, for the shot of Surf Ohio at the 2008 OSU-at-USC game, even though our Bucks lost, and to you, too, Chris & Joy, for livin’ large with Surf Ohio on a mountaintop in Tahiti last summer!).

We will be posting these any new photos I deem worth sharing in the coming weeks. Once that new gallery is going strong, I am thinking about having a contest to select the best, perhaps in several categories e.g. most artistic, craziest location, funniest – you get the picture. I am sure there’ll be cool SO prizes involved, somehow.
Please don’t Zip your pics, keep them jpegs of 1MB or less, and send them as separate files, please.  Don’t forget to include your name (though only first name & last initial will be posted, btw) but also to caption them with the date and location, so I don’t mistake Lake Como for Lake Winnebago!

PS- Surf Ohio vacation tip #27 - Though you won’t find it mentioned on their websites, all rental car companies prefer that Surf Ohio stickers be placed on the window, not on the bumper.   Trust me!
